It seems most of us have joined one or more groups and some of us have even started the odd group (Andalucia - Weekends in Spain.....Ladies who like Jag bonnets). I started the first one with the idea that it could be useful therefore it was a serious attempt to unite like-minded people in the warmth and sun of Spain and the second was for a laugh (but you never know!!).

Mrs MWM here. I have my own business in soft furnishings....I measure, make, and fit curtains, blinds rails, poles etc and my curtains are all hand finished. I enjoy it most days when i get to see some gorgeous houses and their interiors. My job has variety every day, which is important to me. I get great satisfaction from creating something from nothing and having a satisfied customer. There are downsides too, but there is in all jobs. I initially trained as a textile designer at art school, but soon found out early on that there wasnt much of a living to be made, and thankfully I still work in fabrics.
Mr MWM is doing a bit of property developing in Spain, buying run down houses and turning them into livable ones.
Its difficult changing jobs, but good luck in whatever you do.:thumbup:

We're still pretty new to the site but I can't say we've witnessed any crap in chat. Well I haven't (Paul) but Jan uses it more than me. For us it's all still fresh and fun.
So here's my penny's worth....if there is a deal of crap flying about why don't the mods have an ability to add people to a warnined section (private to mods) Once you get 3 warnings you're out? It would need policing with checks and controls but if it helps arse holes control themselves then it can't be bad for the good people using the site....or am I missing the point?
