All my friends know I have been planning this for a while and I now need a basic idea of how many people would be interested so I can book somewhere. I have a venue in mind but it means me booking a private room and it's gonna cost me money so I need to make sure that enough people want to come along. My birthday is Feb 7th so the date would be Feb 10th. If I can get the private room in the club I want lets just say it mirrors my personality and is outrageous - hey you're only 30 once lol. Anyone interested let me know, obviously I will see about accomodation nearer the time and hopefully negotiate a good deal (as TJ did for the Leeds meet). If you don't want to commit on here you can always mail me - I can always say no roflmao

Maybe if we stuck to one hotel chain we could negotiate a 'corporate' discount which would mean that any of us could get a room anywhere in the country at a reduced rate.

I didn't realise the Blackpool meet had been organised for the same date and I understand that people may feel torn between the two. All I can say is that many people in the chat room were aware that I was organising my birthday bash for the beginning of February and as its actually my 30th birthday on the 7th Feb (although I don't want to clash with the Blackpool meet) the 10th is the first Saturday after my birthday. I'm sure whichever event people attend a great time will be had by all.

There are 60 plus people interested in my birthday bash so I'm looking at a bigger venue than I thought. I have emailed a few bars in Leeds City Centre for prices etc so watch this space!!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay I now have over 100 people interested in coming to the party and have booked a venue. I have hired a private room in a bar in Leeds City Centre - anyone wanting details of the bar mail me as you can see it for yourself online. I have been looking at hotels around the City Centre of which there is a wide choice but am looking for some advice as to what kind of hotel people are looking for so HELLLLLLLLP do you want cheap and cheerful?? A bit more expensive but with extra comfort??? Extortionate prices for luxurious surroundings??
Depending on what people are looking for I guess Ian could negotiate with a couple of hotels rather than just one (which I think he may have to do anyway if the numbers I'm getting interested are right)
