Just wanted to make sure the event went as to plan? we are so sorry we could not make it, but due to personal reasons there was no way we could make it.
We would however like to say a BIG thank you to mr and mrs CEYLON for stepping into the breach on our behalf at the last minute and telling people where to go,

It was really, really good to be finally able to put real-life faces on forum names and low-rez cam pics
And we met some very nice people too.
But there were some things we weren't expecting too. We though that the atmosphere would be a little, well, sexier or at least flirtier than it felt. It felt just like an office party, to be honest. Nice, and social, but quite tame. Now it's a social, and we weren't expecting to end up in bed with anyone (though we were more than happy to, if the option had come!), but it was strange to have a social of swingers that talked about work, the weather, the football, where they came from, what they thought of Milton Keynes and so on and seemed to ignore topic "X" entirely.
It was also suprising for us how early things seemed to settle. By midnight we were mostly just talking to each other - most people were in little groups who had known each other for ages, and while we stuck our noses in and people were friendly, you can only stand there smiling in silence for so long without looking like a bit of a prat , so we'd move on. By midnight it looked like more than half the group was gone, and we'd mostly just been standing around as a couple for the last hour, so we went back to the hotel and vigorously entertained each other instead :D
Still, it's never easy for the new people (unless they're really drop-dead gorgeous!) so we weren't disappointed. It was a good night.
heeellloooooooooo it was a social :doh:,how would you expect people to behave in public,this was always set up as a social NOT a club meet,if that was the case then a private function would have been sorted,but how would you propose this be done,as we do not have to money to lay on the line to do such a thing,and as for collecting it well that aint going to happen,as it was we have spent enough of our time sorting what we did do,
well we hope some one can better next time,

firstly let us say that we hope everything is ok and dandy in baylistic land and that you are both ok. really sorry that you could not attend as its always good to see you both
secondy, thanks for taking the time to sort everything out, i am sure peeps will agree with us that it was a great event and long may it continue. socials are there for one thing and one thing only, thats to socialize and from what we see, everyone had a great time doing this. with out people like yourselves and mrs ceylon events like this would never happen, so once again on behalf of the jt's, thanks so much.

We can only speak for ourselves we both had a fantastic night meeting all the lovely people from this site as always everyone seemed to have a great is a shame that it may not have come up to everyone expectations but thats how it goes sometimes and they will get over it
But on a brighter note we would like to thank all the gorgeous people we met and thank them for all the snog's we had, unfortunately we too did not end up playing as foxy had too many wines and just before we went to meet up with fellow peeps in room she turned a very green colour :crazy: lol so sorry guys you know who you are foxy has asked me to apologize for her and we will catch up soon

Please don't read our post as negative. It was a lot of work setting up this social, and we appreciate it. Thank you. As I said, it was a social, and we had no expectations beyond it being a social - we were just giving our impressions as feedback. We had a good time, as I said, and thank you very much for organising things.
Our comments were meant merely to illustrate the difficulties anyone new has in integrating with a group, and to show where perceptions can be different to different people. It's the same no matter the event or group - being the new people in the office Christmas party is exactly the same.
New people are often told to go to socials to get to meet others and build relationships, and I think it's worth pointing out where this works well and where it doesn't work so well. We really enjoyed the first half of the evening - the hotel bar was a great time, the pub was pretty good too - and, for us, it started to be less social at the club. Judging by a few other comments I've had, it was similar for some other first-time goers.
Perhaps experienced people found it the other way round? If you already have a good circle of friends and contacts then the bar and pub may have seemed like a prelude to the real fun at the club. If the two groups are looking for different things then it's quite possible that there's no way to please everyone, and that's usually the way things are. Perhaps some socials should be emphasised more for the people who already know each other, and others for new people to meet each other?

As a single female, on her first social, there alone..and a non-swinger...
Well, I was terrified. I absolutely was. I was worried about people's reactions to me even being there at all. I was worried about getting lost.. dont know MK...dont know the club.. etc
And you know, I was absolutely bowled over by how everyone welcomed me. It was overwhelmingly touching and I was completely - you know it - discombobulated. Everyone was wonderful. Everyone. I was particularly concerned about being at the club on my own - but I just felt so safe and looked after. It was fabulous. I really can't thank everyone enough.
Bays well done in organising the event. These things are never easy, particularly when its a remote organisation. There was actually a brill room at the club that the group could've quite easily taken over (The Boudoir?) but people seemed to enjoy the freedom of the club.
As an observer/voyeur/perv, I would say that the socials are an ideal starting point for new people to meet the people that they've been chatting to in the room and on the forums. Go with an open mind and without expectations other than forming friendships and laying foundations for on-going swingster potential. A City-Break with a twist.
A brill weekend that i am going to pay the hungover price for!

well what a great way to spend a cpl of days .we had a brill time meeting ppl and are glad we did the 2 days as we got to meet most of the new ppl on the site like the lovely sexypair and gwentcpl as well as the regulares lol no names mentioned .thanks go to bays for making all this possible and without there hard work getting this event up and running it would never have happened and well done to serens for taking over the reigns when bays had to cancell at late notice(we hope all is well ).thanks to all the ppl that came to mk and made to all those that we chatted to we hope you enjoyed the wkend as much as we did .
Can't take the credit for that pleasures huns lol .... not sure who did take over but we were either too tipsy or too busy lol .... sorry to those peeps we didn't get chance to say hi to a big mwah X to you xxx

We just wanted to say a big thanku 2 bays for organising this weekend. We have been off the site for over a year and were worried that people wouldnt remember us, but as soon as we walked into the bar on Saturday we were greeted by loads of familiar friendly faces (not forgetting to mention a big cheer from my mate 'Bob'). Everyone was so lovely, oldies and newbies. We love the MK meets as it gives us a chance to go out, get p!ssed and let our hair down.
Cant wait for next year already

Well, I've just about recovered from MK on Saturday and have to say it was most definitely the best social I have been to in my year or so on the site ... think it was my fifth!
Not sure if it was the fact I'd had a rubbish and stressful week or two at work and needed to let my hair down or that I've been to enough socials now to feel relaxed and know how it all works or whether it was just that there were loads and loads of people there who I already knew. Whatever it was, it was an absolutely tip-top night (and morning) ... he he.
It was great to catch up with all the lovely people I've met before, meet various folks I've chatted to in the chatroom but never actually met and meet lots of new people too. Have to say that you are all a great crowd and it's a pleasure to know you ... some better than others of course!! lol
Special thanks to me partner in crime Oliviak and all the other gorgeous ladies who let me snog them on the night ... I have been grinning since the weekend just thinking about it all.
Oh and it's always highly amusing to be in a club full of civilians and see the looks on their faces while there's all the random snogging going on ... makes me chuckle every time.
Thanks also to the lovely couple that joined us for some late night / early morning fun and games ... fantastic end to the evening if I do say so myself.
Last but not least, I thankfully didn't bump into my one of my best mates who lives in MK and would have wondered why I was in the town and not visiting him .. Phew!!!
Roll on the next social if it's anything like MK4.
