OK - well swingin_cat's derivative is twofold:
1. Being a lover of vintage Black American music as I am (from 1940s Jazz/Blues right through to mid-70s Soul/Funk) the term features in a phrase made famous through jump blues: "jump 'n' jive, you swingin' cats"! Well, I fell in love with the cliche, and here it is in use again, some 60 years later!
2. I like to swing, of course, and I have loved cats ever since I was a kid!

Well I chose my screen name because Tracey Witney is a lead character of sidney sheldon's novel "if tomorrow comes". This is my fav novel and Sidney Sheldon is my fav author and Tracey Witney is my fav female character.
I know I'm spelling Witney wrong, but by the time I found that out I have already regestered under the same name on a few message boards.
The admins on a couple of the boards don't like users to change their names so if I correct this mistake on some of my forums and leave it as is on others it'll be rather confusing.
That's my reason for choosing this particular screen name and for misspelling half of it.(smile).
