thankyou funky i have taken on board wot you said, although we are classed as newbies, we were on here 3 years ago but came off due to the rudeness of some people, but have decided to try again, we have met and made life long friends with a few people both times, so i do realise that LOOK and you will find.
Most of the people i have chatted to have been fun and made me realise that there are a few real people out there, WE WILL NOT give up though, xx

There are many time wasters, here and on every other site in the world, not just swinging..
However that being said, for every 1 timewaster there are at leat 3 that are not, we have been messed about by singles and couples alike in the past, but have also met some wonderful people, and had some amazing meets.
Patience and persistence are virtues ya know lol

It is the sweeping statements that drive me mad :fury:
Folks put their comments on forums cos they feel strongly usually. If they aren't getting any action then that is often a reason for comments :kick: - most folks don't say, 'you know what? i have great meets regularly. i think i will make a thread in the forums saying that i do' :doggy:
If successful meets via a website are a rarity then i am wondering how myself and so many others seem to manage very well. Also wonder why you are on here if you think it is unlikely you will get meets via it.
There are fakes and wasters in all sorts of places. The internet is one of them. There are also tons of great people on sites and this one is no exception.
Although some folks slip through the net and some folks just like to mess people around, if you go forward with a positive attitude then you are more likely to be enjoying fun days and nights with likeminded swingers.
There is no substitute though for putting a bit of effort in before you do meet and going into the chat room can help you get a better feel of how a lot of the folks on here tick.

disagree strongly again... the people who post these threads always appear to be the ones who can't be bothered to make the effort and think that meets will just drop into their laps, pardon the pun lol

I have always said the same thing to people who post threads like this - you only get out what you put in. And that goes with everything in ife, not just with swinging sites.
You are not going to have any luck on here if you don't put the effort in to get yourself known by people on here, such as getting into the chatroom and going along to a social to get a feel for the site and the people who use it. To say this site is full of timewaters is rubbish. The whole world is full of timewasters and I have met just as many on a night out with the girls in many a wine bar in London.
We all understnad how hard it is at first to get to know people as we were all new once. And yes it can be a bit scary and daunting at first as everyone seems to know each other. But that's the same as anywhere or anything new you try. 3 weeks on this site is nowhere near enough time to make your mind up on it especially if you really haven't put in the effort. It took me a lot longer than 3 weeks to pluck up the courage to open my mouth in the chatroom and now you can't shut me up (trust me many have tried lol)
So all I would say to newbies is don't be scared and just dive right in. It takes time, patience and a good sense of humour before you even take the first half a step.
