I agree with Janice. I wouldn't even think about taking a woman to a swingers event without her complete knowledge of what was going on. For me it would simply be disrespectful -- and there's a significant likelihood that she'd have an unhappy time of it. Why not come to Leeds on your own and have a few laughs with your mates -- and then take your new friend to a nice hotel on the coast for the night / weekend some other time. Just a thought John xx

Good advice TJ cheers very much though the reason why I am against going on my own is I feel people are already teamed/paired up with each other before, during and in the bedrooms afterwards! I don't know if this is true or my sub-conscience is getting the better of me![quote user=tall-john]I agree with Janice. I agree with everyone george.... while it is a social event, to a non-swinger it may be a bit harder to understand the culture and the way everyone acts towards each other. She may fell pressured into doing something she may not feel comfy with (not by you or any of the members george, just by the whole idea) - and if she really doesn't enjoy it then it may spoil your friendship. George.. dont worry about everyone being already 'paired up'..I went to my first social on my own and while there were mostly couples, everyone made me feel so welcome and I had a great time. By all means explain to your lady-friend what it is all about..assure her its not a case of throwing room keys into a bowl sort of night!.. but if she doesn't want to go then go anyway and meet up with everyone.. they all want to meet you!! xxx

taking a non swinger to a social event is as everybody says, not a problem, lots of non swingers go to Utopia, Chameleons and Xstasia and I am sure many other clubs, those that do tend to enjoy the company of the true swingers that go to the clubs, they like the atmosphere, the people who are very sociable, the night out without drunken gropers and fighting it is nice to meet people who, whilst not wishing to do what we do are open minded enough to accept what we do without judging us, take her along and I am sure she will have a great time.

i have to say i wouldnt take a non-swinger to the social meet for the reasons as the others have said. As for going on your own George, dont feel as though there is a problem with that, I am going on my own, not partnered up with anyone. I have had the chance to,but its my choice not to get partnered up (like to keep my options open lol ). And as for Janice's comment, you cheeky wee minx you, what do you think i am, some sort of sexual predator that pounces on every lady i see. I only did that to you as you were so cute, But you liked it. Psssssssssttttttttt Biggirl, bring a bowl with you. I will get extra keys two

Georgecat ... a question for you. Imagine a male friend suggested going for a few drinks at a bar with some friends of his....and it turned out to be a gay social do. How would that make you feel? What would it make you think your friend thought of you? Expected of you? As a straight guy I am guessing you would not be too happy. As a female, if a guy took me to a swingers do (irrelevant of being a swinger or not) without telling me would be totally disrespectful and make me think certain things were expected. If you like this friend of yours, I am sure this is not the effect you are intending.

One thing I forgot to mention was this lady friend of mine knows this is a swingers event and is ok with it as long as she does not participate in any playing if there is to be any done? However having talked to many swingers about this matter it does NOT seem right to bring her along so I will definetely be going on my own!
