Being the romantic I am, I took Mrs. Samoa on a 10th wedding anniversary surprise trip to Paris for a few days. Needless to say we saw the usual sights but we also visited two clubs - Overside and Club Nautilus. Have any of you been? Let me tell you our experiences. We went to Overside on a Sunday night. Quiet you may think but, no. Packed when we got there at p.m. To be honest we found a bit daunting because it was a bit of a free for all and there werte lots of single men who were fairly old (apologies to any of you oldies!) and a little creepy. Facilities were good and it cost us £40 (couple) with one free drink each. The next drink cost us £10 each!! Overall I personally felt a little uncomfortable because of the rather persistant single men wandering around.
Club Nautilus was very different! We went on a Wednesday evening and the advert stated strictly couples only, which made me feel better. The problem was though that we were the only couple there at p.m. One other couple arrived around 11 ish and that was it!! We did not pass up the opportunity however and we got friendly with our French neighbours! We left at 1ish as two more couples arrived. Club Nautilus is a small, friendly (but quiet on this night) club. It cost us the same to get in but the drinks were cheaper.
Both clubs are worth a visit and are within walking distance of the centre of Paris. Walking home at night seemed quite safe. Hope this info. is useful to you.
