With quite a large collection of hardcore VHS tapes built up over the past 20 years, I was sorting through them the other night, and realised that the collection lacks in one important department - Color Climax films from the 70s and 80s!
I remember first seeing these in cinema clubs in Soho from 1979 (yes, I was a 15-year old 5th former lying about my age to get in!), right up until 1983, when the last of the cinema clubs were raided and closed down. For those of you who don't know about these films, Color Climax were a company based in Denmark, issuing 10-minute shorts. They started off in the 8mm film trade, then began issuing video compilations in the early '80s. What's most outstanding about them is the "person next door" quality of the films: nothing at all pretentious, and they covered a wide range of interests: straight sex, watersports, busty women etc....
A sister company, Rodox, also issued similar film shorts.
Does anyone know if any Color Climax or Rodox films/compilations from this era are available on DVD, or even WHS? To put some of these into my collection would certainly put the cream on the cake (no sexual innuendo intended!). If anyone knows of any, and would be willing to let me know where I can get hold of them, it would be really appreciated (and as a thank-you, I'll even run you off a copy of anything I get).
