:thrilled:booked in etap see u all soon for a drinkies o and :doggy::doggy::doggy: :giggle:
ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! :drinkies:
mikem- i can understand what you say about chat feelng a bit intimidating:eeek: but don't give up on us. I felt the same when i started on here but I guess i am as guilty as anyone because a lot of us have met through socials drinkiesand other things. Having said that, i always try to say hello to anyone who comes in and greets the room and i know a lot of others do the same. Just jump into conversations- we won't mind if you are polite about it, cos otherwise there are only a few chatting and a lot sitting on the sidelines watching the world go byblink- not the best way to achieve a positive result me thinks. bri- i take your point about the meets with other non-ests and agree. However, you don't need to have actually played with people to establish them but you do have to have met them- i think that is why the socials are a good thing- they enable people to meet in a relatively non-threatening environment and get to know each other. If you play as a result then all the better ;) Also all of us were new once, had no comments and were not established. They should not bar anyone from meeting people. They are only designed to be a way of seeing some of the info about someone (i am really bad at doing comments myself)
cut or uncut- no real issues wth either as long as hygiene is maintained  couples mail pics- more boy pics please :rascal:

Becca is going to send out a mail to everyone tomorrow with the details of venue and when to meet etc. if anyone wants to meet up in the afternoon for a drink/food let me know or ring me if you have my number, Rosie
ahhh but true they have done a geographical measuring study that puts the land on a pin (obviously virtually) and Leics does come out as the balancing point.:giggle: i am with you on the Leics accent, Ellie- lived there for seven years and it is not my fave lol However, i love all accents because they are a part of someone's personality. They reflect what/who you are etc., to a certain extent. As for myself i am a chameleon- my accent fluctuates and depends on who i am with. I assume this is due to moving around a lot and having to 'fit in' when younger. (Also might have something to do with not sounding English when i went 'home' to Belfast with my mother for safety reasons - was actually cornered at the age of 4 on way to shops with an older cousin and forced to 'speak english, wee girl'- very scary in 1970!!! :grinsmile When left alone it is a fairly accentless (although there really is no such thing) home counties therefore assumed to be fairly posh by most. Rosie
All public sector workers should be subjected to random substance abuse testing and offered support and help
why just public sector? cos we are being paid from taxes? why not anyone else? sorry am i being too serious? :giggle:
Karens, will mail you the details but as to advice... :happy:just come along, have a drink  and chat to people  there is no pressure on anyone to play at a social- it is a chance to meet like minded people in a pub type atmosphere and chat etc... it is a great way for people to dip their toes in and see how they feel it is not an orgy (unfornately rotflmao )
