Myself and my friend Nancy (from Sid_n_Nancy) are planning a naughty girlie night of indulgence. So far we have our own partners plus 2 other single guys who will be joining us for our fantasy night. Kippers from Whitby..... Corrr...... Whitby Goth-fest.... Dracula..... Witches...Witch-burning... In some parts of Scandinavia (Im thinking Denmark??) they have large bonfires during mid-summer celebrations to symbolise the witch burnings in the 16th C.......
And in Sweden, lots of floral tributes and adornments, parties...and....herring....

Other countries really celebrate this and eat lots of herring and stuff..... As I explained to a herring-muncher... if we got a discernible Summer then we might care when Mid-Summer is!! :violin:
