Our membership is due to run out on the 12th November and, after a lot of pondering, thinking and talking, we have decided that we are not going to renew our membership.
The reasons for this are plenty but in recent months, the attitudes and atmosphere on the site has changed dramatically to the point where it is now no longer fun being a member on here. Other swingers sites offer many of the same facilities and functions but seemingly have none of the sarcasm, bitchiness or back biting that is rearing its head on a lot of the threads on here and in the chatroom.
That said, we do promise to keep in touch with some really genuine friends we have made on here via FB (you know who you are) and we hope to continue meeting and chatting to them in the future.
As we are no longer going to be premium members after November, we will no longer be organising the Leeds Social meet next February so sincere apologies to everyone who may have been looking forward to that do. If someone else would like to take up the organisation of this meet then we wish you the very best of luck and hope it turns out to be a great event like this years meet. We will update the Leeds Social thread accordingly. We're proud to have organised the last event in Leeds and successfully managed to get admin (who get far too much stick for doing the best job they can) to introduce the traffic light system which seems to be gaining more awareness every day. We leave knowing that we have tried our best.
We may be back in the future if things change on here for the better but for now, the fun and enjoyment is just simply no longer there. As someone made clear very recently to us, it's supposed to be fun - if it's stopped being fun - stop doing it.. Well... we've decided to take up that advice and will now look towards pastures new.
