Hi all!
Having raised this in the forum and got a pretty positive response, we thought we'd give this a go...
We've not actually been able to actually meet anybody face to face yet. We're going to MK, and looking forward to it a great deal, but we thought we'd invite any couples in our vague area to a sort of micro-social. Basically, an evening out, meet up for dinner and chat.
We were thinking of one in the SE - maybe central London, maybe further south depending on where people are - and another in the Cardiff area, assuming there is anyone interested.
We'll set a date based on people's availability, but we're aiming for last week of Feb / early March.
This isn't intended to be a big thing, and we'd like to limit it to couples only. It's not a meet - but it might lead to that later, who knows?
Anyone interested?

Ok so here is some boring stuff about me...
1. I was born and raised in the Aussie outback
2. I am a big traveller and have travelled the world mostly on my own. Been to about 40 countries at last count and every continent except for Antarctica.
3. I have always wanted to either learn to dance or learn to play a musical instrument... sadly I am crap at both.
4. My friends are the most important thing to me in the world.
5. I have a very long fuse... but watch out if you ever get to the end of it. Very few people have ever achieved this.
6. I HATE HATE HATE baked beans!
7. My 3 favourite things in the world are food, sleep and sex... not necessarily in that order. Depends on the day. lol
8. I am studying Criminology at university
9. I am addicted to Salt & Vinegar Pringles.
10. My only regret in my whole entire life is that I started smoking when I was a teenager.
11. My favourite place in the whole world is Wattamolla Beach just south of Sydney

14. My worst quality is my severe lack of patience
15. My best quality is my openmindedness and willing to accept (although not necessarily understand) most things
16. Even in the darkest of days I always try to stay positive. My motto is that no matter how bad you think you have it there is always someone out there who has it a million times worse then you do and if there is something in your life you don't like then change it.
17. I LOVE LOVE LOVE shoes!
18. I have only ever had my heart broken once - but better to have loved and lost than never to have experienced love at all.
19. I have no maternal instinct at all - don't even like kids really
20. If a genie were to appear and give me one wish that I could do anything I wanted I would wish to go into space
21. I believe in ghosts (no I'm not a weirdo honest!)

My biggest achievement to date was making a 4 day trek through the mountains of Peru to Macchu Picchu... 3 and a half days of that was with a sprained groin muscle... but I was determined to make it even after my trek leader suggested I turn back. Mind you I couldn't walk for nearly a week afterwards.
24. I am scared of mice and flying
25. I worry about everything... although I don't necessarily show it.

Couldn't have said it better ourselves .... some people prefer the off the cuff type of meet, others prefer to get to know people a bit, decide what's best for you guys and take it from there but you have to take the rough with the smooth as they say, good luck anyway peeps .... debs and paul xxx
Thanks to everyone for coming - it was a great night for us both to meet new friends and catch up with some older ones. Sorry we didn't get to meet everyone there- I am sure that this will change at MK4.
We enjoyed it a lot and special thanks to puss for demanding the money off everyone!
