I have actually bought this issue and this thread to the attention of admin as my gripe is with them and I have made clear. I did this as I knew I was not the only one who had this issue. I just raised it in the forums in order for people to voice their own opinions on the subject in one place so that admin can see for themselves. It is completely up to individual people if they agree or disagree with me I don't mind and believe me I am not here for an argument. I just wanted to bring to light an obvious issue that many paying members have had.

Maybe those who have griped did not intend to 'upset' (for want of a better word) the oldies that have come back to SP due to a life time free membership.
But..... for those of you that have been griping and whinging.......... then do it directly to SP Admin and give your exact grievences.
I for one have seen more of a zoo on this site in the past, than most of you could ever imagine. I stayed with this site through good and bad and from the beginning. I had free membership then paid membership, I've swung, made friends, organised parties and had my say on many issues affecting this site and its members.
I do NOT expect to be the subject of sour grapes - whether intentioned or not - by people with noting better to do than get the grumps because they don't like what the OWNERS of this site have done.
There are many other sites out there, most a dam sight more expensive than this one, some free, some good and many bad. If you like this site and you have fun on it and with it...........is there a problem? No............
If anyone has an issue with 2005 joiners who have not been active on here or single men who are complete halfwits, then take the gripe direct to symbiosis........

I am however, in no way pushy. It just winds me up when I spend the time writing a mail to a member, sometimes just to say hello or welcome, and I get absolutely nothing back. I dont' mind a reply saying "sorry not interested" or even "go away", but to just ignore me is rude.

No I have not seen any of these emails but I was told about them from people who had received them.
I hope people have not misunderstood my grievance. I am in no way asking for a free membership myself and I am in no way saying that all of those who have received this are timewasters. I have noticed that this has enticed back many of the original members that were once very active on this site and contributed a great deal - and I consider this a good thing. I am also glad for those peeps who have received this offer who have contributed so much to this site.
My grievance was how this process was managed. I did chat to a guy in the chatroom last night who got the free membership and he told me that when he joined the site back when it began he might have only ever logged on maximum 10 times and never paid any membership fees then. He has never met anyone from SP so is neither an established member nor has any comments. So this is what I disagree with - the selection process.
I am not saying that all of those who fit the criteria above are non-serious swingers, but there should have been some sort of criteria set for peeps in order to qualify for this free membership offer. This would have at least weeded out most of the morons and idiots that I have come across the last few days.
So thank you to the comments from those who have had this offer - you guys do sound genuine and my rant was most definitely not aimed at you in particular.
I also agree with people when they say that these timewaster idiots will eventually get bored and will disappear... I just hope it is sooner rather than later so our beloved chatroom can get back to normal.

Well!!! we have been here for over a year and pay every month ... before that we were on other sites and paid there too. We as a couple haven't been on as much over the last few weeks, but have contributed quite a fair bit to the chatroom, forums and socials and I (debs) can only say I'm glad I have missed all this nonsense going on. I totally agree with what the good people above have said and you guys have my (our) support. Maddie hun I'm sure no one would begrudge you a free membership as I remember you contributing more than your fair share here ... and frankly you are right on a couple of other points too. I think things will settle down again and maybe once again we will use the site more frequently .... it's not right that anyone should have to put up with idiots behaving like imbeciles and no of course I don't aim that at good genuine new or more established people .. but it isn't just the newbies or fake profiles that cause bother, we ourselves have had to bite our tongue when someone on a power trip thought it was funny to take the p**s out of the way I am on cam .... what goes around comes around as they say lol xxx
well i ( mr jt ) dont often get involved with the politics of this site. we use it, have a laugh in the chat, meet the odd sexy people and generally obide by all site rules and eticate ( nice spelling lol ).
i fully understand why admin would issue long time members the oppotunity of free membership, people that have used the site and been active in chat, meetings and forums, but what i dont understand is why they have blindly given out free memberships to not just singles, but couples that have never activly given anything to this site. i am not saying that some of these people are not genuine, but a vast majority are not, which has been proven and witnessed by both myself and mrs jt this weekend.
we have been here for 18 months and have never had cause to complain about anyone in the chat room, but this weekend alone we have both felt harrased. and also witnessed personal attacks on people on and off cam.
jels is right, these people will get bored again and leave again, but will it be to late for some of the members here that enjoy chatting and flirting in the appriorote way, before we up sticks and leave.

Hello perverts and deviants.
As many of you know, and alot of you remember, we had our wedding reception at Chameleons nearly a year ago.
Sooooo..... we've booked Chameleons again for Sunday 15th March for our 1st wedding anniversary and Maddies birthday (13th for cards and pressies)! Times are the usual Sunday opening 2pm til 1am. Hotel rooms available at Chameleons or we can supply local B&B details.
Anyone wanting to come along who isn't a member then you can come in on my membership as a guest for the day (YES, that does include single males). There will be the usual party games, buffet, champagne fountains, cake and lots of naughtyness.
So, come along, there will be members from 4 other sites there and it should be a hoot.

It turns out that there have been a lot of lifetime free memberships given out recently and even free memberships for a year to new members.
I find this GROSSLY UNFAIR to all of us serious swingers. Many of these free lifetime memberships have been given out to people who joined the site when it first began. Fine for those serious peeps who have been established many times and have numerous comments, but this act has caused an influx of complete morons into our once happy and fun chatroom. Morons that joined in 2005 but have not been on the site since and have never paid membership fees. They received an email from admin inviting them back to SP for FREE for a LIFETIME.
Not only that but there have also been free memberships offered to newbies.
For those of you who agree with me and think that this is as unfair as I do please note your comments here and vote in my poll.
Our chatroom has been taken over by rude, obscene people who have been given this free membership and many of us chatroom regulars have been harrassed, heckled, directed on cam and have just had general extremely bad behaviour from most of them. Our poor mods who do a thankless job have been working overtime to control these idiots.
THIS IS COMPLETELY UNFAIR AND IT WILL CAUSE MANY SERIOUS PAYING PEEPS TO LEAVE THE SITE IF IT IS NOT DEALT WITH!
